Hotel La Pergola

The reception ladies were friendly and very helpful, and everything worked perfectly. My room was cool and quiet, with a large shower. Breakfast was served buffet-style on the beach, where the umbrella and lounger were only steps away. There’s also a charging point for electric cars and bikes. I only stayed one night, but my business trip ended up feeling like a little holiday. The attention to detail and willingness to help are rare, even in four-star hotels, and I’ve been staying in hotels once or twice a week for 30 years. Sandro, the owner, is professional and super helpful. I hope to be back in Alba soon, and I won’t be looking elsewhere. Well done! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I just got back from a week here, and it was a really positive stay. The location is great, 100 meters from the seafront and Il Faro beach club, where an umbrella and two loungers are included. Sandro and all the staff were super helpful. The property has had some renovations, and the rooms are due to be renovated for summer 2026, but they’re already welcoming. The bathroom was clean and functional, with great shower pressure. The only letdown was the towels, changed daily but very worn and in need of replacement. Highly recommended!

Never again! I chose this hotel because of all the glowing reviews, especially about cleanliness. I didn’t find that cleanliness at all. The dirt was unbelievable, and the shower was crumbling. I wasn’t looking for luxury, just a clean place and honesty. On day one, I wasted two hours waiting to check in because the manager wasn’t there. The room was dusty, lights and ceilings were coming down, and the bathroom was tiny and filthy. Noise kept me awake until 2:40 a.m. On day two, the elevator stopped working and stayed out of service until day seven. Breakfast on the beach was basic, and although the place was lovely, the spoons were dirty and I had them replaced. At lunch, I also had a dirty glass changed. On day three, the spoons were dirty again, so I asked them to pay more attention. Rain was coming through the hallway ceiling, apparently from a leak. On day four, the teaspoons were dirty once more, and I got angry and yelled. From day five onward, the spoons were clean. The air conditioning didn’t work, though the heating did, which was no use with 35°C outside. On day five, our neighbor’s roommate brought down a piece of the ceiling at 11 p.m., and it was chaos. On day six, we couldn’t shower until 7:30 p.m. because there was no hot water. On day seven, we finally left. The bikes had no headlights or exhausts, the saddles weren’t secured properly, and the brakes didn’t work. There was one of them every day, no matter how much you wanted one! The staff were kind but not very attentive. Luigina was a real burst of kindness, maybe a little too much at times, but she was very helpful. The seaside location was beautiful, the beach was clean, and the lifeguard was very friendly.

My husband and I had a wonderful week in early July. We were just two minutes from the sea and the beach resort, with umbrellas and loungers included. The staff were cheerful, friendly, and helpful, and their smiles made our holiday. I was seven months pregnant, so I didn’t use the free bikes. Having a parking space was handy because the whole promenade is paid parking all night. We also ate lunch at the beach resort several times, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend it. Thanks for making our holiday so enjoyable!
