The garden around the house looked lovely, though it was too chilly in early March for us to enjoy it. In late spring or summer, it should be a real extra attraction. My wife and I spent a couple of days in the villa’s large studio while visiting relatives nearby. It was roomy, practical and well-kept. The whole villa, with five or six apartments, seemed tastefully designed and decorated. We later found out that Piero, the friendly owner, is a former architect based in Torino. The place sits midway between Torino and the Aosta Valley, which makes it a handy base. We’d definitely recommend it to couples, families or groups visiting Piedmont.

This is my personal take, and the place was quite different from the client I was meant to visit, though that was my issue. The old property is tidy and well-maintained, but the furnishings feel dated rather than shabby. Personally, I’d have gone for an ultra-modern look here. I’d also suggest removing the fabric covers from the chairs and sofas, since they don’t feel especially clean and might bother guests with dust allergies. It’s a mini-apartment rather than a room, and the tucked-away kitchen is a nice feature. The setting works well for food and wine trips, as well as excursions in nature.

We only stayed for one night, which was a real shame, and hope to come back soon. The apartment was spacious, peaceful and welcoming, with every comfort, including a kitchenette. The owners were friendly, courteous and helpful, and we felt right at home. It was a lovely surprise in a little corner of paradise, just minutes from the highway exit and a few kilometers from Lake Viverone.

The hosts were discreet and helpful, and you could see the care they put into this family home throughout. We stayed in a bright apartment on the first floor, with balconies over the beautifully kept garden. The charming period house is close to the equestrian competition grounds. The bathroom had been fully renovated and was spotless, and breakfast was available in the apartment.

The place is very quiet and well placed for outings nearby, including Ivrea, Aglié Castle and Masino Castle. The building dates from the early 20th century, and the elegant furnishings suit it well. There are six apartments in different sizes across the ground, first and second floors. We used the first-floor apartment, which sleeps three, for three nights. It was spotless and well cared for, with a complimentary breakfast basket, water and fruit juice. Hospitality was perfect, and the caretaker was very kind and available 24 hours. Recommended.
