The neighborhood is quiet, with just one excellent pizzeria, a bar with spectacular pastries, and a few small local shops within walking distance. For bigger shopping trips, you’ll need a car. It’s a good base near Palermo Airport and places like the Zingaro Nature Reserve and San Vito Lo Capo. Trapani Airport and the Stagnone lagoon are also only 45 minutes away, where you can kiteboard, windsurf, or take a boat trip to the Egadi Islands. We spent a week in the two-room apartment, which was clean, tidy, and just right for four people. It has a lot of potential and is only 5 minutes from the sea. Danilo was an excellent host. He accepted a bulky package I sent and shared useful information and suggestions for places and restaurants before we arrived. As I’d already mentioned to Danilo, it needs air-conditioning, even though there are two fans. Some more routine maintenance would help too. We’re a very environmentally conscious family and appreciated the attention to waste sorting. Well done, congratulations. The location suited a quiet holiday; for more action, you’ll need to go to Castellamare del Golfo.

We had everything we needed for a wonderful week exploring the loveliest cove. Thank you, Danilo, for having us in the Ponente apartment, with its lovely terrace overlooking the sea. The hosts were very helpful, and Alcamo is a great base for seeing northwestern Sicily.
There are three fans, one in each room, and they helped, but couldn't fully deal with the heat. We were there August 10th to 15th, probably the hottest days of the year, and especially at first it was hard to sleep well without air-conditioning. The Primo Sole apartment was spacious and very clean, with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea where we could have breakfast and lunch. Our host was kind and friendly, and offered helpful ideas for places to visit and restaurants. Getting there means taking a fairly narrow, steep two-way road. I’m not sure if there are other routes; the GPS always sent us that way, and we hit traffic jams more than once, though it was bearable. Overall, it was a positive experience.
The Libeccio apartment had a small terrace with a sea view, and inside it was quite clean and tidy. Its location makes it easy to reach the prettiest places nearby. Danilo was kind and helpful, and suggested lots of places to see and spots for seafood. My only suggestion is to pay more attention to the details, like basic bathroom and kitchen supplies. We had a wonderful experience overall.
The owner was available with advice, and the apartment was very clean. I stayed in the cozy LIBECCIO two-room apartment with a bathroom. Its breezy terrace was comfortable, though it didn’t offer much privacy. The small bedroom has no window, and the little fans supplied by the hotelier unfortunately don’t do much. Changing the sheets and towels costs €10. It’s conveniently located near Castellamare del Golfo, but the climb up to the apartment is very, very inconvenient.
