La Blanca Resort & Spa

The views were fabulous, and we liked the pool and very good breakfast. Still, the deluxe room I paid for was very basic and small for the price. You’ll need a car, since it’s a bit of a drive to the centre of castellemare and to the beach. We had a late flight back after our two-night stay and hoped we could use the pool the next day, but they said that wasn’t allowed. That was disappointing. The distance from town and beach means I wouldn’t return.

The view was great and the location suited us, but the rooms felt very basic, like a hostel or a three-star hotel at best. Breakfast was mediocre too, nowhere near what the reviews had led us to expect. We’d paid for two nights, but left after just one.

Vera and Roberto are what made my stay at La Blanca so memorable. They were warm, professional, and thoughtful throughout, always helpful and making me feel valued. They set a standard for hospitality that the rest of the establishment could learn from. The property itself is a gem in El Coma, peaceful, charming, and spotlessly clean. From the rooms to the shared areas, everything was beautifully kept. It felt both elegant and comfortable, like a home away from home. I can’t wait to return. The spa was the highlight for us, absolutely worth visiting. The esthetician was top notch and the prices were reasonable. Staff were always available and helpful, even bringing more coffee, and breakfast was very nice with the choice of sitting inside with a view or out on the terrace. We loved having a balcony and a stunning coastline view. The weather turned stormy the day after we arrived, but we could still sit outside. The room was badly laid out, though, with nowhere to put our carry-on bags except on the couch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
