Great value, with filling dinners of local dishes and a generous breakfast buffet with lots to choose from. The owners are kind and friendly, and happy to suggest things to see nearby. The location also worked really well for bringing our dog.

It’s a charming inn with a pleasant feel and exceptionally friendly service. Dinner is simple and affordable, while breakfast is basic but does the job. It’s some distance from Merano, up on the mountain, but conveniently close to Bletterbach Gorge, which is well worth seeing. Great value for money. We’d definitely return!

We stopped for lunch on a sunny day and were glad to get a table outside. The place is simple rather than fancy, so the prices are lower. The Milanese steak with roasted potatoes was excellent, and the gelato with warm raspberries made a delicious finish. I recommend it.

After visiting the Pietralba sanctuary, we paused here for lunch on the way back. The setting was lovely, the food excellent, and the meal was good value with no cover charge. It’s a great stop if you’re after an unpretentious lunch rather than somewhere fancy.

I only stopped for coffee, Sacher torte, and a few other drinks, but the terrace had a great view and service at the table was quick. I’m sure he’s a good hotelier too!
