Such a beautiful, romantic restaurant, and the service was really lovely. The bread was wonderfully soft, and the wine was both good and inexpensive. The ravioli were the best I’ve ever had. I did try some of my husband’s mussel pasta, though, and it made me feel unwell.

The salad vedura was just lettuce leaves in a bowl, and the buckwheat pasta was overcooked with a random, flavorless sauce on top. It looked almost like someone had vomited on the plate. The ravioli were six pieces in plain melted butter, not a butter-based sauce, for 10 euros. Taste was zero, or maybe minus two. Service was friendly, but it took ages to get anyone’s attention. I’m not sure how the Google rating is so high. Maybe it’s more for the hotel they run than the restaurant. Italian food at its worst.

The service was painfully slow, and the staff seemed to go out of their way to avoid serving people, dropping things as they wandered around and ignored customers. The pizza tasted like milk, maybe, and the mixed grill was really low quality. Genuinely the worst restaurant I’ve been to in my four trips to Italy.

We were so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant last night that we’re going back tonight. It was one of the few places around where we’re staying, and we’re happy to return instead of looking for somewhere else.
