Zeppara is surrounded by green countryside and lovely views, a nice quiet spot away from the island’s bustle. Shops and restaurants in Ales are close by. The rooms and bathroom were very clean, and the owner was understanding and keen to make us comfortable. He was very helpful, too, showing us many places worth visiting. Breakfast was great, with homemade jams and honey and delicious coffee. The stay was good quality for a low price. I recommend it to anyone wanting to see Sardinia from the inside and enjoy a kind host. We’ll definitely return.

The wine was taken from us, and when I asked for a refund, the host came right up to my face and said, “what is your problem!” I was shocked. His behavior was unacceptable. He touched guests without permission, got too close, blew air kisses, walked around in front of them wearing only shorts, grabbed my hand painfully, ignored requests, interrupted and laughed at them, and showed no respect for personal boundaries. He completely ruined our anniversary. Sleeping was difficult, too. He showed a room loudly to guests arriving late at night and spoke loudly early in the morning. Getting to the toilet was hard, the room door lock didn’t work, and the house was always left open. The B&B is in Zeppara, a tiny village of 200 people with no services, so everything you need is in neighboring villages. The location shown on Booking.com is completely different. We stayed for a month and avoided the host for half of it because there was no chance to change accommodation during peak season. The problems overshadowed anything positive and spoiled our long-awaited, expensive vacation. He seemed especially courteous, polite, and attentive with Italian guests, and did not behave this way with them. In our whole month in Sardinia, this was the only place where we experienced such bad, disrespectful, intrusive treatment. We met many pleasant people there, but this was the one person who spoiled our vacation, very, very badly. I’m glad it’s over and I don’t have to see him again. I didn’t say goodbye. I filed a police report and will escalate it to a higher level on Booking.

The price was very reasonable for the quality, and we had a good night here. Sharing a bathroom with two other couples turned out not to be a problem for us. Homemade marmalade and warm bread at breakfast were a welcome touch.

Luca is really friendly and nice, and we’ll definitely come back. The shared bathroom was clean, and the stay was very good value for money. Breakfast was simple but really nice, with several kinds of homemade jam.
