Donatella pointed us to a traditional restaurant and a bakery with local products, both an easy walk away and both delicious and reasonably priced. Her welcome was lovely too: taralli, fruit juice, and cold water in the summer heat. We had a spacious apartment with an outdoor area and shower, and the price was affordable. It’s a handy base for exploring Salento. We had a wonderful time.

We’ll definitely come back, and one reason is the friendship we formed with Donatella. She was endlessly helpful, paid attention to every request, cooked exceptionally well, and was especially thoughtful with our children. The house itself is clean, simple, welcoming, and very practical, with an outdoor space that has a shower and sink. Its location also makes it easy to choose between the Ionian and Adriatic coasts.

Puglia is fantastic, and the places around here are lovely. The service was excellent, the staff were exceptional, and the price was affordable with all the comforts.
