Lo Scalo bed and breakfast

When we got to Lo Scalo, we found the rooms didn't face the sea, despite the way they were advertised on booking.com. The hotel is actually about 400m from the water, although the first photo on the booking.com listing shows a terrace over the sea. That felt plainly misleading. We politely told the owner we were disappointed and hoped we could understand each other and find some compromise, such as shortening our stay or getting a lower rate. On the phone, after we calmly explained, he became upset, interrupted us, and said we weren't welcome anymore if we didn't like it and should find another hotel. Then he hung up. We had to find somewhere else, which threw off our whole Puglia itinerary. It also meant searching for several hotels during the height of the season with a young child, which was costly and unpleasant. We couldn't get our money back, and we were left off the Booking.com platform, so we couldn't post a review there. I'm sure the owner will offer a balanced reply, but we don't usually write negative reviews and felt we had to this time.
