Borgo Rosso Terra

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the property itself is lovely. There’s mini golf and a billiards table too. We enjoyed breakfast, though it felt a bit overpriced, and lunch was just okay. The pool looked lovely but was so cold that it’s hard to enjoy unless the weather is really hot. The location is remote enough that you definitely need a car. We had several room problems. The WiFi only started working after we asked at least twice. One air conditioner leaked and made a loud dripping noise. When staff came to fix it, they left the door wide open while we were away for several hours, so bugs got inside. Luckily it was low season and nothing was stolen. The staff seemed sorry, but didn’t do anything to make up for the issues. On our last night, rain came in and soaked the drapes. We were also surprised to be charged €50 for cleaning the room, since that fee hadn’t been listed anywhere.

We only went for dinner, so I can’t really comment on the rooms, though the hotel looked fabulous from what I saw. The entrance, with its round spaces framed by grand olive trees, was beautiful. It seems like a lovely choice for a wedding or party. Dinner was amazing from start to finish. The hostess found us a table at the last minute, late in the evening, and our waiter was kind and helpful. Samuel guided us through the meal and suggested some wonderful dishes, all made with ingredients grown right there. I wasn’t even very hungry, but ate every last bite. They even sent me off with some strawberries 🥺. I’ll be back with my family.

Such a clean, lovely place, and the little stone houses are really cozy. It has a magical feel to it. Loris, one of the managers, is very friendly and puts in a lot of effort to provide what you need for a great holiday. Recommended.
