Francesca was a lovely, welcoming hostess, and there was something homemade at breakfast every day. We stayed in a cool, comfortable room with a great double bed. The thick stone walls kept the temperature pleasant without needing AC. From the pool, the view over the hills and vineyards is breathtaking, and nature is right outside in the calm setting of Sanico. The nearest village, Alfiano Natta, is about a 20 minute walk away, with a little convenience store and a very pleasant bar. We spent two nights at Casa Rovelli in the first week of June, and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I can’t recommend it enough!

Such a peaceful, relaxing base for a stay in Monferrato. You can choose a B&B room or the private cottage, and there’s a lovely panoramic pool. It has country elegance, and the owner knows the area well. She can suggest wine venues, walking routes, and restaurants if you’d like.

The spaces are refined and carefully looked after, with a breathtaking 360-degree view across Monferrato. A place I’d love to return to.
