The outside door wouldn’t lock, either. We booked through Booking.com and from the start had trouble with the toilet flush. For two days we had to use the basin instead. The woman at the B&B seemed to think this was normal for a three-star hotel, and even put us out by involving Booking.com customer service. That was the last straw. We’d have been better off camping.

The rooms are large and the location could make this place spectacular, but it fell short. Our door wouldn’t lock, so we slept with it open. Breakfast was only from 8 to 9, and at 10 the woman was watching to see whether you had left on time. There wasn’t a TV, just a hole covered with aluminum foil. The curtains and furniture were, well, ugh. I got the impression I couldn’t ask for a second coffee at breakfast, so I didn’t dare.

Caterina was courteous and very helpful. The rooms were clean and had air conditioning. The B&B is a few kilometers from Fertilia and Alghero, with lovely views over the sea and city, and a relaxing feel.

The host was very friendly, and breakfast was served well on a large terrace, though it was made up of processed products. These are spacious, modern apartments in a very rural setting near the center of Fertilia. Some little maintenance details could use attention, like the curtains, blinds, and faucet aerators.

We came for the calm and the view, and both were lovely. It’s a peaceful spot with a stunning outlook, good for anyone wanting some serenity. The rooms were clean and well equipped, the staff were friendly and helpful, and free Wi-Fi was available. Excellent.
