It’s basic, but close to town.

The owner was so kind and ready to help with anything. Breakfast was generous, and the quiet countryside setting made a lovely base for seeing other parts of Sardinia. The town center is only a few kilometers away.

We should have walked away when we saw what we were being offered, but it was late and we agreed to stay in the spare room. My partner and I were road-tripping and had found this affordable place online, with decent-looking rooms. The booking server blocked us, so we called and booked with the man who answered. When we arrived, he said there were no rooms left and offered a garage with a bed and bathroom instead. It was dirty, with cobwebs and mosquitoes everywhere, a door falling apart, and dust under the bed. The hot water went cold after about three seconds. We barely slept: the rooster started at 4:00 a.m. and kept going, then the geese began at 6:00 a.m. and wouldn't stop either. A nightmare. Yes, we agreed to it, but be careful: they promise a decent property and then give you this crap.

Marco pointed us to an excellent seafood restaurant for dinner, which we really appreciated. The place is family-run and set somewhere peaceful, away from the city noise, but it has what you need to relax. Alghero is close by, and attractions aren't far either.
