We couldn’t leave our luggage after checkout, which was awkward since we had a late connection. Apart from that, the apartment was very nice and had a fridge. You could choose from breakfast menus by ordering the day before, then eat on the terrace with great views. There was also an Italian coffee machine, a kettle, and tea and coffee supplies. It’s in Alghero’s old city, with a roof terrace and a sea view. The room keys were in a safe by the front door because the owner is only there some of the time.

The host was polite and helpful, and offered suggestions to suit what guests were looking for. The room was spacious, very clean, and had free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a TV, and a fridge. The B&B Alguer is in Alghero’s historic centre in Sardinia, Italy. We really liked the roof terrace. It’s a lovely spot for breakfast, catching some sun, or just taking in the view. Great place!

Gabriel was a perfect host. He helped us book dinner and gave us tips about Alghero, and the guest house is conveniently placed for most of the historic district. We also enjoyed the open-air feel of breakfast on the terrace, with a partial ocean view. The fruit dish was small, though, and one croissant or bread bun per person felt scant. I had to ask for another espresso shot in my latte, since one wasn’t quite enough. The sleeping setup was disappointing. We climbed a wooden ladder-like staircase to a bed under a low ceiling, and I bumped my head on the rafters several times. Having to go downstairs to reach the bathroom was annoying.
