B&B Le Orchidee

The location is the only good thing about this B&B. Elisa was rude and incompetent throughout, and I’d give zero stars if I could. She had told us we’d have two connecting double rooms, but what we got was a separate double and a single. Breakfast was poor: three packaged snacks, and when I asked for decaf because I don’t like regular coffee, she said, “Well, that’s just how it is.” She never asked about allergies or intolerances. The cleanliness was awful. The bedspread was filthy, the bathroom drawers were dirty, and the closet had used, dirty things left by previous guests. There was a rotten lemon in the fridge and a moldy rag dripping in the bathroom. We were shocked. One evening we found two cockroaches in our room. When we told her, she just said, “It’s normal here in Alghero.” She couldn’t help with anything we asked about, including taxis, storage, or car dealerships. When we did ask, she seemed annoyed or didn’t answer. On our last day, she gave us no checkout information, so we had to contact her about leaving our bags until the afternoon because of our late flight. First she said it wasn’t possible, leaving us scrambling to make other arrangements, then she messaged late that night to say it was fine. The next day she kept us waiting at the door and sent us off with a quick goodbye, as if we weren’t paying guests. Don’t stay here if you’re in Alghero.

We’ve just finished our holiday in Alghero, and Elisa was incredibly kind throughout. She was not only a guide, but also extremely helpful with everything. See you next year.

The welcome from our host made our first day a positive one. He was courteous, helpful with everything, and gave us all the information we needed, plus more.

Just a few steps from the center of Alghero, this is a really welcoming place. The owners are very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!
