Even though we only stayed one night at the B&B, Sonia and her husband were so kind, helpful, and hospitable. We had time to chat and exchange useful tips, and they let us leave our luggage safely for a few hours while we explored beautiful Alghero. Thank you so much.

We loved our stay at Sonia and Fabio’s B&B Mare Chiaro in Alghero, and would happily recommend it. We were travelling as a couple with a rental car, which let us explore the city and surroundings freely. The location was very convenient, close to both the port and the historic center. Sonia and Fabio were the highlight. They welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home straight away. Our room was spacious, lovely, and equipped with everything: a mini fridge, large wardrobe, outlets beside the bed, and TV. The bathroom was outside the room, but it was large and had everything we needed, including towels, shower products, makeup remover and pads, and a hairdryer. The room and bathroom were cleaned and tidied every day, so they always felt fresh and inviting. Each morning we found a table set just for us, with traditional pastries and croissants, fresh fruit, juices, yogurt, hot drinks, cured meats, and cheeses. It was a great way to start the day. The hosts gave us useful advice on what to see and how to enjoy Alghero. They were always around and ready to help, and made us feel like true Algherese. We asked for beach towels and an iron, and they also lent us mats and umbrellas for beaches where those were required, at no extra cost. The value for money was excellent.
