Casa Machin Alghero

We were very happy with our 10 days here. The owner is a wonderful person and so helpful. The property is on a charming street in a great spot, and guests can use things like beach mats and a ball. Our room had everything we needed, was clean and well kept, and was cleaned during our stay. It’s clear the owner really cares about his guests, which is a big plus. I recommend this place to everyone.

The host’s response to feedback was, unfortunately, the main problem for us. After we left an honest, fair 4-star review, the host became aggressive, sent inappropriate messages, and changed his review of us out of spite. We strongly advise against booking unless you’re prepared to leave a perfect 5-star rating whatever your experience. The host didn’t handle our feedback professionally. The room itself was fine: clean, well located, and with a bathroom in decent condition. But soundproofing is poor, and noise from other rooms in the building affected our comfort. As for breakfast, it wasn’t really breakfast, just a room with some snacks.

We were welcomed warmly, and the location is very central. The rooms are decent, though the bathrooms are small. Breakfast is very basic, mostly packaged biscuits and juice.

We had delicious breakfasts and a very kind owner who also speaks English. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the location is great. A lovely place to stay!
