Coral Bay Charming House

The rooms are clean and the air conditioning works perfectly, but it’s about a 20-minute walk to the center and coast. The walls between rooms are extremely thin, so you can hear everything going on next door. Also, “breakfast included” just means one complimentary aperitif at a nearby café, which feels misleading.

The rooms were clean and our hosts were very friendly, so we had a nice stay. You can walk to the beach or into town, though it’s a long walk.

For a short stay in Alghero, this room was great value. It was cozy and clean, and breakfast at the nearby coffee place came with really good coffee and croissants. The host was quick to reply and helpful on WhatsApp. The doors don’t seal well, so noise from outside the room carries in. You’ll also need to walk five minutes for breakfast, and finding street parking can be tricky late at night.

The room itself was clean, and the breakfast at a nearby cafe was an easy three-minute walk away. It was just coffee and a croissant, which worked for us, and the location about 20 minutes from the center was fine. Communication was very good, and the soft mattresses were okay too. What spoiled the impression was the lack of sound insulation. You could hear everything through the thin sliding door between the toilet and room, and through the doors separating the several apartments in the building. My advice would be to replace those apartment doors with soundproof ones. I really wanted to give more stars.
