The old town is the place to go for evening strolls, dinners at its countless restaurants, shopping, and some of the best coffee and gelato in the world. There are real gems serving a great selection of local cuisine and wine. Charming and beautiful, it’s a big part of what makes Alghero so attractive. ♥️

Don’t miss Alghero’s beautiful historic downtown. The alleys are full of lovely shops and restaurants, with old city walls, fortress-like buildings, churches, catapults, and cannons. There’s also a harbor and a spectacular sea view.

A lovely town, and the restaurants are delicious. Highly recommend it.

The old towns are superb, with historic buildings, a fortress, and narrow streets that are easy to explore. Go in the morning if you can, since it gets very crowded. Prices for accommodation are pretty steep, and parking is hard to find. The only decent option is the paid parking at the port.
