Casa Minnina, which includes the Luna and San Marco apartments, is absolutely to be avoided in Alghero. My family and I lasted two days before we fled. The house was dirty, with ants everywhere. I know it's in an industrial area out in the countryside, but this was a real infestation problem. There was dog hair on the beds and sofa, and the outdoor bedroom closets were filthy and smelled bad. Neither the showers nor the toilets worked properly. There weren't enough dishes for the number of guests, and the pots and pans were dirty and rusty. One double bedroom's window was taped shut with black duct tape and couldn't be opened because it faces the neighboring warehouse. The ceilings were covered in cobwebs, and the lower parts of the walls were dirty too, maybe from dogs again? The water heater was incredibly loud, like something from a horror movie or Jurassic Park. Not one thing was right. The sheets, towels, and hand towels were mismatched and too few. The sofas didn't match the photos, and the wooden stair handrail was loose and wobbly. Roberta and her husband, who represent Flat358, did make a decent effort to sort things out, but we still lost €100, which was the landlord's fault. What I really didn't appreciate was their attempt to deny what was plainly obvious, even when the evidence was undeniable. Above all, apartments should be inspected to make sure they're clean and working before they're rented out.

It's a loft apartment with a sloping ceiling, so anyone over 1.30 m is going to have trouble. It gets really hot even with the air conditioning, which is only in the living room.

The sea view is stunning, and it stays quiet even in August.
