The location worked well for our four-day beach trip with my 7-year-old. Beaches are a two-minute walk away, the old town takes about ten minutes on foot, and Maria Pia is around ten minutes by bus. The hotel is 12 minutes from the airport by taxi (€25), or you can take the bus, with a day ticket costing €8 per person. Its stop is two minutes from the hotel. Our room was no. 1, with a balcony and partial sea view. It looked like the pictures: small, cozy and clean, which was fine since we were only there to sleep. Tile floors are handy with sand. The bathroom was spotless and had a 60x60 shower, toilet, bidet, good towels, toiletries and a hairdryer. The step into the bathroom takes a little getting used to. The safe, small fridge, shutters, WiFi and air conditioning all worked well. The bed was a little short for me, but really comfortable. I’d suggest getting plug-in mosquito repellent. Breakfast was adequate, though I would have liked a bit more fruit and vegetables. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and I thought the price was fair. A nice bonus was the free beach gear, parasol, beach chair and mattress. Just ask reception. Thank You!

The sea-view room was cozy and very clean, and we had a great five-day stay at hotel Il Gabbiano. Its location is ideal, with the beach right across from the hotel and the old town a 10-minute walk away. Biking Sardinia is next door, so it’s easy to rent a bike and explore nearby beaches. The staff were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel. Grazie per l'ospitalità!

We spent a week here and would gladly come back. The beach is only 20 meters away, and it’s a 10-minute walk to the old town. We really enjoyed the stay, the breakfast was very good, and the staff were friendly.

The staff were very friendly and always helped with questions and recommendations about the area. Big thanks to Alessandro and Antonio for their help. The hotel has everything you need, with a great spot right across from the beach. Our room was cozy and clean, and the air conditioning worked well. A la prossima!

The location is really nice, far enough from the crowded area but still only a few minutes' walk from the old town. The staff were helpful and nice, and there’s a Conad supermarket about 300 meters from the lobby. Free WiFi and A/C are included in the price. There’s no pool, and the fridge only kept things cool rather than cold. Lido beach smells like a toilet drain, and the waterline was covered with bits of dead plants. I’d give the area 3.5 stars.
