Il Pagio

I only booked because my flight was late, and the place was inexpensive and near the airport. Once there, though, it turned out to be much more than I expected. Giovanni was friendly and helpful. For €15 in total, he drove me to and from the airport, which saved me the cost and hassle of a taxi. The property is beautiful, with vineyards, trees, flowers, and a garden around an Italian villa. You’d hardly know an airport was nearby. My wife and I loved sitting on the breakfast terrace in the quiet mornings and evenings, and our room’s terrace looked out over the grounds. Very good value, lovely staff, and I’d happily recommend it.

We had a very good breakfast, and the room was spotless and roomy, with its own bathroom. It’s a 15-minute drive to Alghero’s historic center and just 10 minutes to the lovely Mugoni beach. There’s no air conditioning, but we didn’t need it. We were there in July 2022, when it reached 35 C in the daytime, and the nights still had a fresh, pleasant breeze. Recommended.

I spent five nights here and really enjoyed them. The host was lovely and paid close attention to what I needed. The rooms are large and very clean, with balconies and roomy bathrooms. Breakfast was big, there’s a parking area, and the view across the bay is lovely. I’d definitely come back.

The view and setting were lovely, and they really make you feel at home. Luisa and Giovannni were welcoming and friendly, and the place was very clean and well looked after. The homemade bread was excellent, and we got fresh fruit from the garden. Friendly pats, too. Grazie Luisa and Giovannni
