Because of a booking error on Expedia, we showed up a month early for a three-night stay and were told about the mistake, so we had to find somewhere else. It was an honest error, and we did come to check in, but our many requests for a refund in Italian and English weren't even acknowledged. We kept our commitment by showing up, and the proprietor had a month's notice that we couldn't make the booked dates. If we hadn't shown up, I could understand, but this felt unfair. In my opinion, the proprietor has no scruples and only thinks about money. They don't care.

The owner was very kind, and the room was lovely. It's a clean, modern B&B, about 1 km from the city center. Breakfast is self-service and always available, with a coffee machine, biscuits, cakes, muesli, juice, milk, fruit, and yogurt.

It's clean and has everything you need, including a refrigerator, an iron, and even a cupboard with emergency hair conditioner, sunscreen, and similar things. The location is handy, two minutes from the sea and 10 minutes from the Old Town center, so we didn't need to drive anywhere. There's free parking on the street in front of the building. The breakfast room has a coffee machine, croissants, and water. Matteo gave us a very nice introduction, with a city map and helpful tips. I think we'll be back in September.

We enjoyed our stay so much in June that we extended it. Matteo greeted us warmly right away, and his courtesy, helpfulness, and advice for visiting the area made us feel at home. It's a delightful B&B in Alghero, in a quiet neighborhood with an excellent location. Parking was easy to find, and a pleasant walk along the seafront takes you to the city center. Alghero and its beaches are stunning, like a little gem waiting to be discovered. Kudos to Matteo, we absolutely recommend this property!
