Raggio Di Sole

We had two lovely dinners here during our holiday in Alghero. The sunset over the beach is a real bonus, and the service was friendly, attentive, and lovely. The man in charge gave us plenty of food and wine recommendations. We enjoyed every dish we tried, especially the monkfish starter. Definitely recommend a visit.

We only stopped in for a quick coffee, but the staff were so friendly and kind that we’ll definitely go back. We sat in the shade by the beach with a lovely view. Iced coffee wasn't on the menu, but they happily made us a huge one with cream and chocolate. It was very cheap, too.

We ended up visiting three times, and this turned out to be one of our favourite places to eat. From the street it doesn't look especially inviting, and it isn't luxurious or somewhere I'd pick for a special occasion. Still, the food and people were lovely, and it's an underrated spot. On our first day in town, we gave it a try after seeing decent reviews. A friendly, attentive waitress welcomed us and suggested things beyond the menu. Their fregola came with the nicest, juiciest king prawns and langoustines we found. The tiramisu was delicious and nearly twice the size of portions at some other restaurants. There's also a lovely view across the seafront towards capo caccia.

The food was delicious, and the place has a really charming atmosphere. We loved our waiter, who was polite, spoke really good English, and recommended a great meal. 10/10!
