We were worn out after a hike and dropped in late in the afternoon, hoping to eat early. The restaurant kitchen wasn't open yet, but the hosts kindly made us some delicious Sicilian food anyway. We had a lovely time, and their kindness really stood out.

The room felt a little cold in the middle of winter, but Giuseppe and his family made us feel very welcome. They cooked a lovely Sicilian meal for us on our first night and were a big help with directions and local tips. The new pool looks great, so we'll have to return in summer.

The panini at lunch were huge, easily enough for two, and cost between 5 and 8 euros. The food and service were both amazing. This hidden gem sits about 750 metres from the Ionian Sea, high on a hill in the small village of ali terme, in the foothills of taoromina. It's also an agro tourismo with a hotel, pool, spa and massages. Owner pepe keeps adding to the experience. You can have a five star stay here for very little, while still being close to the lights of the tourist hubs. If you're booking a trip to sicily, this could be a good place to base yourself.

The staff were friendly and always ready to help, which made the occasion feel just right. I chose this restaurant to celebrate my graduation, and the food was delicious, well prepared, and served in generous portions. We’ll definitely be back! ☺️
