My wife and I spent a week at the B&B Piella, and I really appreciated how peaceful it was. Mr. Daniele, the owner, was extremely kind and happy to answer any questions. He also suggested places to eat and beaches to visit, including lovely rocky and sandy stretches of Salento just a few kilometers from the B&B. P.S. Bring rock shoes.

We stayed at the "B&B Pilella" for 10 days in August and had a perfect holiday. Daniele and Annagrazia made us feel right at home, with their cheerful company, laughs, and long chats. They were always ready with ideas for beaches, restaurants, and places to visit, and the property's location made it easy to reach Salento's wonderful beaches. Our room was spacious, beautiful, and welcoming, and it was spotless every day, including the bathroom. Mornings started sweetly with Daniele's delicious breakfast, either traditional pastries or freshly baked brioches. It was a lovely surprise of a holiday and a memory we'll keep. Daniele and Anna Grazia welcomed us so warmly at your B&B Pilella, and we want to thank them for it. They'd thought through every detail, from the plentiful breakfast to their suggestions for lovely beaches and places where we could try local specialties each day. We had a relaxing week here, helped by the owner, who was kind and available whenever we needed something. He lent us salt and oil, recommended beaches and good places to eat for reasonable prices, and pointed us to a fishmonger and butcher for groceries. We were pleased with what we bought. He even spent an afternoon with us and offered us a liqueur. We chatted like old friends, and it made for a lovely evening. The room had recently been renovated in a really distinctive, beautiful style and was cleaned daily. Our linens were changed twice in five days. There's a little terrace with a table and chairs, where we found homemade cakes or pasticciotti each morning. Biscuits, croissants, and toast were available in the room, free to use, as were the coffee machine and pods. We also used the outdoor fireplace for two barbecues, one with fish and one with meat, all local products. On arrival, there was a bottle of sparkling wine and two glasses. The B&B is a few hundred meters from rocky sea, and a short drive gets you to the wonderful sandy beaches of Ugento. The only reason I didn't give the room five stars was the bathroom door. It looked lovely, but didn't close flush, leaving a gap where you could see through from the bedroom. Next time we'll try their trullo, still as a B&B. 😍😍
