Amalfi Luxury House

The view from the breakfast terrace over town and the surrounding mountains was a highlight. Breakfast was pleasant, with coffee, tea, juice, cereal, pastries, fruit, cheese, and other options. The location was fantastic too, only a few minutes on foot to the central square and beach, with a supermarket nearby. There are some steps up to the place, though not too many. My friend and I stayed three nights in early November, and had a great experience. The room was nice and clean, with a balcony, a good bathroom, and everything we needed, including a sofa bed alongside the regular bed. They tidied the room daily, check-in at the desk was easy, and staff were friendly. The price was quite affordable for Amalfi. Check-in is until 18:30, and that was clearly stated on Booking.com. We asked about arriving late and got a reply within a day saying it wasn’t possible, so we arranged to arrive on time. I’m sorry to hear others had a bad experience, but ours was good. The Booking.com score was 8.5 when I wrote this, a very respectable rating. I’d recommend the place.

We spent three nights at amalfi luxury house for Valentine’s Day, and the staff made the trip even more special. The room had a balcony with a stunning view, a very comfortable bed, lots of space, and an en-suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries. A big thank you to our host Asia, who was always kind and ready to answer questions. She recommended great restaurants and things to do in amalfi, and even helped me with my Italian. Mariagrazia was lovely too, cleaning our room every day and bringing breakfast each morning. It was included in the price, with a long list of choices. We highly recommend staying here. Grazie mille e ci vediamo presto.

The extra transport and emergency accommodation ended up costing us more because of how this was handled. We’d told the host in advance that ferry schedules might make us five minutes late, something outside our control. They showed no understanding, ignored our messages, then canceled our booking without warning and left us with luggage in a foreign city. This was my worst hotel experience by far. The host was rude, unresponsive, and unprofessional the whole time. Communication was nonexistent until it was too late. Even Booking.com customer service couldn’t reach them, so we had to deal with everything ourselves. It was unacceptable and completely at odds with hospitality. No one should have to go through that. Don’t book here if you don’t want to risk being left outside without help. They clearly don’t care about their guests, and shouldn’t be allowed on this platform.

My stay ended with me stranded in the cold at night in an unfamiliar town, even though I’d clearly communicated my arrival time. I don’t see that as a misunderstanding. I believe this is a deliberate way of operating. If you can’t arrive before 6:30pm on the first night, they’ll ignore your calls, leave you outside without help, cancel your whole stay without warning, and keep your money. There was no explanation or support, just silence. To the management, you know what you’re doing. This isn’t hospitality. It’s a business model that takes advantage of travelers who can’t defend themselves. I hope you think about the harm you cause, because this behavior stains the reputation of the entire Amalfi Coast. Future travelers, please take this seriously. Many others have had the same thing happen to them. This place doesn’t deserve your trust, time, or money. There are plenty of honest hosts in Amalfi, so choose one and avoid this establishment at all costs.
