The property is gorgeous, from its rooms and spaces to the food and overall design. Everything feels special and luxurious. But the service was a real letdown. During our stay, things were often slow at breakfast and in the afternoons, with long waits before anyone came to the table. One afternoon I waited about 10 minutes to order wine, and the food menu didn’t arrive before I was leaving. The next day by the pool, nobody came over for around 30 minutes, so I had to keep trying to get someone’s attention just to order water. There was also a frustrating mix-up on our first day. We booked Cappuccini restaurant for five at 7:30 PM, but were told only 9:30 PM was available, which we accepted. When we arrived, staff said there’d been a mistake and sent us to a different restaurant, saying Cappuccini was full, though it didn’t look full. The food at the other place was excellent, but the change was still frustrating. I travel often and enjoy luxury hotels, so service is a big part of the experience for me. It’s disappointing that the service didn’t live up to such a stunning hotel.

Francesca, Mirko, Marco(!), and the rest of the team looked after my wife and me so well. They were kind and attentive throughout our stay. This historic hotel is beautifully decorated, in pristine condition, and clearly very well maintained. The rooms, food, views, and setting are hard to beat. It’s also a very convenient base for exploring the Amalfi Coast, with Positano and Ravello nearby. I highly recommend it. 💯🤌🏼🇮🇹

Our daughter had always dreamed of getting married in Italy, so the whole family began searching all over the country for a place. The room was lovely, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I also thought the pillow bar was a clever touch, and the included breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, and we had a great stay. Thank you for the hospitality. A few things could be more comfortable: getting in and out of the shower was awkward, there wasn’t much counter space, and the lighting made it hard for a woman of a certain age to put on makeup.
