B&B Camere Con Vista

We arrived in September 2025 and left the next day because the conditions were so poor. The property is on a very narrow road with no parking; the only option they offered was private parking for €150. Carrying our luggage beside moving cars felt dangerous. There was no lift or help with bags despite the steep staircases. In our 60s, we struggled and had to pay outside helpers €60 just to get our luggage inside. The room was small and uncomfortable, nothing like its photos or description. We were also concerned that there were no smoke detectors in the room, sprinkler system, or emergency exit. At checkout, the concierge refused to give us documentation of our early departure, saying it would only be sent on our original checkout date. We booked based on its 8.6 rating on Booking.com, then found a much lower rating on Google, around 3.1, with many reviews calling it a scam. Unfortunately, that reflects our experience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room no 1 was spacious by European standards and very comfortable, with a wonderful sea view over the boat pier. We watched boats come and go and enjoyed beautiful sunrises from the room. Breakfast was included and brought to our room, so we could eat on our private balcony each morning. Restaurants and the square were within walking distance, and we never had to walk more than 10 minutes to get anywhere. Alessandro communicated perfectly before our stay at Vista d'Amalfi. He even sent a video showing how to walk from the ferry pier, which looked alarming at first because it follows the road, but he assured us it was fine, and it was. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the pier. We had a fantastic stay and will return next time we're in Amalfi.

We had a terrible experience and were left stranded in Italy with nowhere to stay, forced to find another place at our own expense. We were delayed slightly by flight problems and tried several times to contact the property, but got no response. Weeks before, we had informed them of our plans, but heard nothing until the day of travel, when they sent just one sentence: “Dear guest our check-in time is still 6:30pm”. They advertise that late check-in is accepted, yet enforce a strict “no refund, no show” policy if you're even a few minutes late after 6:30 PM. They showed no flexibility, empathy, or willingness to help, refused a refund, and marked us as 'NO SHOW'. Local residents and nearby businesses told us this wasn't the first time this had happened, and that the property had a reputation for this behavior. We also found multiple reviews on Google&TripAdvisor warning about it. We stayed elsewhere as a result. Avoid booking here if you want to avoid this stress. Complete scam.

Avoid booking this place. The owners tried to charge my account, and the attempt was flagged. They pressured me to pay before arrival. When I said I might check in late, they stopped replying and cancelled my booking without a refund. Thankfully I got my money back, though others apparently haven't. I wouldn't risk it.
