Getting up several flights of stairs to the hotel means comfortable shoes are a good idea, but it was absolutely worth it. The location is ideal, with restaurants all around and the beach, ferry, and local transport just a 2-3 minute walk away. Our family suite at Hotel Antica Repubblica had a balcony overlooking the main street, a beautiful bathroom, and plenty of room, privacy, and separate beds for me and my two children. It was clean, spacious, and quiet. Christian, the owner, kept in touch clearly from booking through our stay. When we arrived, he explained the nearby towns, gave us useful transport advice, and suggested activities. His knowledge of the Amalfi Coast made the trip even more enjoyable. We stayed from April 8-14, and I’ll definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Amalfi.

The rooms had everything we needed, and then some. We especially enjoyed breakfast on the terrace, with lovely views and excellent fresh-baked pastries. The Antica Repubblica sits in Amalfi’s historic area, within walking distance of the square, cathedral, ferry, and lots of restaurants. Christian and his staff made us feel very welcome. Thank you to them!

Christian greeted us at the square in Amalfi and was very friendly. Our room had two separate rooms inside, plenty of space, lots of amenities, and a good selection of drinks and snacks in the fridge. Beth, who served breakfast, was lovely and friendly too. We had an excellent stay.

We were right in the heart of town, and the rooms were amazing. Even the bathrooms had heated toilet seats! Christian made the trip wonderful with suggestions for things to do and see, and he helped us arrange transportation.

We had a delightful breakfast, and the hotel facilities were spot on. Christian, Maria, and the team gave us a warm welcome and were always around to help make the stay enjoyable. The hotel is highly recommended, set just above Amalfi’s bustling Main Street. The double glazing and air conditioning kept the noise from bothering us.
