Hotel Villa Annalara charme and relax

The hotel was clean and very good, close to both the centre and the sea. The view felt incredible and magical, and breakfast had everything, with great coffee. Salvador and Roberta provided 100% service and got us whatever we asked for. Don't carry your suitcases up the 214 stairs by mistake, there is an elevator! It's worth climbing the stairs once just for the experience, though. They're incredible, and I'll definitely visit again soon.

The view from this charming hotel was breathtaking, and the location was unbeatable, with everything we wanted to see just a short way away. Breakfast was lovely too. We visited in October and had a delightful stay. From arrival, the friendly staff made us feel at home. Our spotless, well-maintained room opened onto a cute, scenic outdoor space that we adored. We'd highly recommend it for a memorable getaway and will definitely return.

I spent six nights in the Ginestra room during Holy Week. It was welcoming, spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. The villa is lovely, but Salvatore is what gives it its soul. After just a day, I was already calling it home. He's kind, warm without being intrusive, knows the area inside out, and always offered advice or a hand, whether my ferry was cancelled, plans changed, or I needed to know which bus to catch. His persistence even got me to Capri against all odds, on a day I also had to reach Rome. A rating of 10 can't do Salvatore justice. His hospitality made for an experience I'll remember fondly, and I'll be back. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Villa Annalara sits between two rocks, with a panoramic terrace over Amalfi. It's close to the port, town centre, hiking trails, and the charming paper museum, but high and far enough above the bustle to feel like a tranquil retreat. The elevator helps with luggage, though if you're up for it, the stairs feel more authentic. They're a challenge after a day on Amalfi's endless steps, but reward you with breathtaking views, citrus and wildflower scents, and a rare sense of calm. Two books I read long ago inspired my trip to the Amalfi Coast. I can barely remember their stories, but the spirit of the place stayed with me, so my expectations were high. The villa met them and then exceeded them in ways I hadn't imagined.

It's quiet here and far enough from the tourists, which was a bonus for us. The view is a million-dollar one, and although the property sits deep into Amalfi, it's a good distance from the drop-off point by the water. Going up and down the property gave us our daily workout!
