La Dimora del Maestro

The parking costs €30 a day. As for the room, it was below reception, so we heard people talking loudly overhead, and the spiral staircase was so narrow it was hard to fit through. When we booked, the pictures showed a large room with a balcony. The receptionist said those photos were used for all rooms, not just ours, though the room shown in our booking did have a balcony. At first we were given a tiny room with a very low ceiling where it was difficult to move around. After I complained, he offered us a slightly larger room, but it still had no balcony.

Marco was incredibly helpful and accommodating, and the stay and service were stellar. It’s just a five-minute ride into the city centre. If we make it back to Amalfi, we’ll stay here again.

The view is the real standout, a breathtaking panorama that made our stay memorable. The location is perfect, and the staff were so kind that we felt right at home. A special place for seeing Amalfi from a unique perspective. 🌊✨

Thanks, Mimmo, for such a lovely stay. During our holiday along the Sorrento Peninsula, we stopped in Amalfi and found Dimora del Maestro after a quick search. It’s a small B&B next to Hotel Le Ninfe, which has the same owner. The room is fully equipped and tastefully furnished, and having breakfast on the hotel’s beautiful sea-facing veranda was a treat. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent, with savoury options available on request. The setting is so unusual that “sea view” hardly covers it: the room is right over the sea, with a drop of at least a hundred metres to the beach below. It was a beautiful day, and a lovely way to carry on with our trip.
