Matteo's House B&b

Rosa was kind and helpful all week. This is a great B&B, in a good location with easy access on foot or by bus.

The owner was rude and disrespectful. The place is uphill and far away, with no parking and very difficult transport. We waited three hours for a bus, and there were no taxis in that area. Parking cost 40 eu and closed at 7:00 pm.

Access is a bit limited, but there was a lot to like. The building is new, built in 2019, and Vittorio and his family were super nice in the interactions we had. Rosa, the liaison, was helpful and answered texts at any time of day. They shared useful sightseeing tips. One rainy day, Vittorio's father drove us to downtown Amalfi so we wouldn't have to wait for the bus in the rain. Take the bus from Amalfi to Pogerola (or Agerola), which stops about 50 ft from their door. If I come back, I'd stay here again.

Even though we arrived at 10 PM, Giada came to welcome us herself and show us around. The service from her and her family was excellent, and they were very accommodating. The room was immaculate, with a clean, classy, creative and soothing feel that my wife loved. We also had a lovely balcony with harmonious, romantic views. Ornella and Giada helped us reserve a place on the beach, and Giada's father drove us to the stairs leading down to Amalfi beach. They also went out of their way to help us find a boat to Capri. They set a high standard for customer service.
