There was no rest here, even for one night. The campsite is noisy, with a helicopter flying very low right over the pitches through the night, and mosquitoes everywhere, biting day and night. After rain, the pitches were muddy, and staff didn’t help clear the area. I can’t think of a worse campsite. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it. It seems to suit cigarette smokers only.

The pool, small shop, and fitness area are useful things to have on site. The facilities elsewhere were a letdown: only a few toilets had toilet paper, some cubicle doors wouldn’t lock, and sometimes the showers were cold. It’s also a loud place to camp. People arrive and leave in the middle of the night, and party music carries across the site until 1 am. I’d rather stay somewhere with decent facilities and a quiet night.

We’d planned to stay for a few days, but left after just one night. The restaurant was decent, with friendly staff and a nice choice of food, and there’s a laundry room where one wash costs 4 EUR. The rest was disappointing. We’d booked by phone, but on arrival the woman managing the campsite said there was no pitch available for our car and small tent. After about ten minutes of negotiating, we got a spot by the entrance, in a corner without shade. We arrived at 18:00 and didn’t want to look elsewhere, though later we noticed plenty of empty pitches. The facilities are quite old, and the electricity was awful. The kettle kept switching off after a minute, so we couldn’t even boil water. Maybe we were unlucky, but it felt overpriced for what you get.

We stayed three nights on a medium-sized pitch with a four-person tent, and had enough room for the car, tent, and drying clothes. Many pitches mix gravel and soil, so tent pegs are hard to get in, and some spots have little shade. A good sleeping mat helps. Staff were very kind and accommodating, even letting us buy food after a late check-in, which saved us from going to bed hungry. For after-hours arrival, call the number on the reception window. There’s electricity at each pitch, but you need a three-prong caravan connector, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the pitches. The site has two shower and washing areas for clothes and dishes. The shower by reception had no hot water, though that may have been temporary, and some showers have such high pressure that they’re uncomfortable. There’s a small café by the pool for morning coffee and bakery items, plus a restaurant and a shop by reception. The shop stays open during the day and has a small deli and assorted food. All in all, a great camping spot.
