Agriturismo Canonici

We spent four days relaxing here. The place, rooms, and pool were all clean, and Marcella and her son Matteo were very friendly. It's a handy base for visiting the nearby villages. Highly recommended.

The gravel stretch to Agriturismo I Canonici is about 900 meters, so it's not great for a very low car. We made it without trouble by driving carefully. The garden and pool are spectacular, and with only three families staying there, it's wonderfully peaceful. Each apartment comes with its own key, and the owner's very helpful. After the daily chores, she and her entourage leave you in peace until the next day. The rooms are spacious and have nearly every comfort. Each guest has a barbecue in their own garden, and there's usually a light afternoon breeze that makes pool time more comfortable on hot days. Nearby you'll find a bar/pizzeria and a well-stocked butcher's. Ask for directions and they'll also keep you posted about local festivals. There's free Wi-Fi, a TV, and pretty much what you need for cooking and sleeping.

It's very quiet here, surrounded by greenery, with nice walks through the fields and a great pool for relaxing. The owner is extremely kind and helpful, and sorted out every little issue right away. My reason for not giving five stars is the gravel road. Most cars can get through, but it's full of potholes and needs more regular upkeep.

From the property you can see the old village of Sambucetole and the mountain above it. The view is fantastic, with nature all around and a clean pool and clean apartments. Mrs. Marcella is very helpful. There's a nearby pizzeria with lots of pizza choices and delicatessen. A lovely spot for a weekend, close to Amelia, Narni, and Todi.
