The welcome is always warm, and the service is excellent. It’s a historic restaurant near Amelia that’s been in business for over 50 years. The panoramic views and location are exceptional. The cuisine is consistently excellent, with traditional local dishes and some interesting twists. A good choice for family lunches or wedding receptions.

The veranda overlooking the valley is lovely, and the service was impeccable. I came to Scoglio dell'Aquila on a friend’s recommendation, but the menu didn’t win me over. To me it felt very 1980s and could use an update. The trofie with asparagus and artichokes didn’t come together: no creaminess or flavor. A piece of cheese, not Parmesan, was put on top as decoration, but it had the opposite effect.

The waiters stood out for their kindness and professionalism, and I can’t wait to come back. Maybe in the fall, to see the foliage and try mushrooms and truffles. The dining room has a breathtaking view, and the restaurant itself is in a unique location. I ate really well: the dishes are simple, full of flavor, and carefully presented.

You can try traditional local dishes at this very distinctive restaurant in Amelia, one of Umbria’s most picturesque spots. It’s quite elegant, and the dining room looks out over the valley. A must if you’re in the area, though I’d recommend booking ahead.

The food was delicious and the portions generous. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Two of us paid €21 each for an appetizer, a first course each with truffles, dessert, wine, and water. Excellent location. Highly recommended!
