We were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves after a storm made the other guests leave early to avoid ferry disruptions. Being there in the shoulder season gave us time to get to know the family. They were kind and helpful, picked us up from the bus station when we arrived, and drove us back when it was time to go. They also gave us ideas for things to do and clear directions for some great hikes. We really enjoyed staying in quieter Anacapri and getting a feel for everyday life in Capri. The hotel is family owned and run, with our own outdoor space and lovely shared areas in the grounds, when other guests are around and want to use them. Walking into town was a bit of exercise because of the incline, but manageable. We were also halfway down the hill to the start of an amazing coastal hike past fortresses. So glad we stayed here!

Hotel Al Mulino has lovely gardens where they grow their own vegetables, and there are spots with views of the ocean. The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the people there welcomed us so warmly from the moment we arrived. Breakfast each morning had fresh vegetables and fruit, freshly baked cakes, and perfect cappuccinos, all in a warm, authentic atmosphere. If you want a genuine Italian experience with plenty of heart, this is the place. Huge thanks to the wonderful ladies who made our stay unforgettable.

Anacapri’s little shops and restaurants are walkable, though there’s a bit of an incline. Three nearby restaurants offer a free shuttle, but there aren’t any restaurants or shops close by. We started our vacation at this small, family-run hotel and had a wonderful time. The staff were very kind, and it was quiet, VERY clean, and had a small pool. Thank you!

The hosts made everything easy, from sorting out transport to and from the port to sharing maps and helping us plan hikes. They also suggested a fantastic restaurant with a view, and our dog was made to feel very welcome. We spent two lovely nights at Hotel Mulino. The room was spotless, and the garden and peaceful, welcoming atmosphere made the stay feel just right.

Hotel Mulino was a peaceful place to stay, and the staff took such kind care of us and our newborn. They arranged taxis, helped with babysitting, and even provided the occasional meal and spritz. My family and I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it.
