Mrs. Franca made our Anacapri visit feel like home. She runs everything and was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast wasn't included, but she still brought us warm croissants, coffee, milk and more. After that kind of welcome, how could we not come back? Thanks so much, see you soon 😘

We found the price very reasonable for the location, and the owner was friendly, helpful, and attentive to what guests need. The rooms were spacious, welcoming, quiet, and spotlessly clean. "Il Merlo" has all the signs of a well-run B&B, and it's one of the best we've stayed in. Capri is always Capri!

The owner was kind and spoke simple English. By good luck, they also drove me to Anacapri. I stayed two nights through a friend of a friend for 40 to 50 euros. It's a clean, no-frills B&B, easy to get into, though not especially luxurious. The Blue Grotto is about a 15-minute walk downhill. Bring a swimsuit if you want to swim, and try to go when it's less crowded. The place isn't well maintained, so watch the tides and be careful of the sharp rocks that can easily cut you.

The owner, Franca, is friendly, and the place is clean. B&B Il Merlo is quiet and good value. It's a little outside Anacapri, but buses connect it well to all parts of the island.
