The location is a plus, right by a pleasant street lined with shops and restaurants. But our room had mold beside the bed, which I found unacceptable. I paid a lot for three nights and couldn't manage to cancel, wait for a refund, and find another place. Capri is expensive. The apartment was only partly equipped. There was a gas stove without a lighter, cutlery but no bowl, and shampoo but no shower gel or hand soap. The lights were also a mess: of the four bulbs in the room, only one worked, and the switches seemed randomly placed. I contacted the owner about it and got no response. He was also slow to reply on Booking.com and WhatsApp. There were two bedside sockets, one on either side, but several lamps were plugged in. We needed to charge our phones and laptop, so we had to keep unplugging the lamps during our stay.

For what my husband paid, the room wasn't worth it. I knew Capri was expensive and wasn't expecting anything fancy, but the owner should put some money into the rooms: basic toiletries, better lighting, curtains, even tableware. With a tiny room, just one or two small light bulbs, only two or three little toiletry sachets for three nights, curtains that let people outside see us moving around, and mold, I felt like we were in a prison or something. Then, during heavy rain, the room flooded. Instead of moving us, the owner handed me a towel to put against the door. 🤔

The shared veranda and garden made for a really relaxing stay, a nice escape from the city's chaos. The property is right in the center of Anacapri, with supermarkets, the bus stop, bars, tobacconists, and pretty much everything else just a two-minute walk away. We stayed in the deluxe king room with our dog, and everything was perfect. The room, kitchen, and bathroom were impeccably clean, and everything was tidied and cleaned each morning. The owner had turned on the air conditioning before we arrived so the room was cool, and left two bottles of water in the fridge. Breakfast was delicious Italian fare, including warm croissants. Unfortunately, our stay ends tomorrow.
