Villa Eva

My husband came back after 25 years and found the hotel just as beautiful as he remembered. The grounds are stunning, with interesting plants and flowers everywhere, and the family who owns the place are so kind and sweet. It's been family-run for a very long time. If you're after peace and a serene setting, this is a lovely place to stay.

We enjoyed walking to and from the hotel each day to burn off some calories before or after pasta 😬. It's close to the bus station, though the buses aren't part of a public transport plan: you pay for every ride, and they can get very full. A tip, rent a scooter with Carlos' friend. Carlos even drove us back to the Anacapri bus station with our luggage. Anacapri is much nicer than Capri, so stay here! The rooms are roomy, clean, and nicely built, and I loved the welcoming feel of the place, with its lovely wild garden. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit and good grain bread. Alma makes the best cappuccinos in town. I only missed having natural juice, though I didn't find it at any other hotel in Italy either. We had a great time and I'd absolutely stay again.

The peaceful feel of the hotel really stood out. Our villa had a terrace with a sea view, and the shared pool was nice too. Since the place is surrounded by a garden, almost jungle-like, mosquitoes, bugs, and Capri blue lizards can show up. That's to be expected here. The owner was kind and respectful, helped with everything, even our luggage, and showed us around with useful tips for Capri. The woman at breakfast welcomed us with a smile every morning. Her hot chocolate was the best, and breakfast was delicious, especially the lemon cake with custard.

The owners' care, the breakfast, and the pool all helped make our few days wonderful. There were plants all around and birds singing. The room and the setting were among the nicest I've experienced. I'd go back a thousand times, and it's well worth paying extra for a terrace room with a sea view.
