Villa Pollio Guest House

We booked two nights at Villa Pollio starting June 22nd, but a government-mandated water shortage closed the island to tourists, so we couldn't get there and had nowhere to sleep for those two days. The situation was unforeseen and out of our hands. We called several times, but the hotel wouldn't refund us. Fabio, the manager, was unhelpful, hung up on us, and yelled instead of discussing a compromise. He offered only a voucher, which is useless to us as students who don't plan to return. We've seen another review describing the same problem, which the manager called untrue. We can confirm we went through exactly that situation, and it seems other guests are facing it too. It feels like a pattern of management taking people's money. For the high price of Villa Pollio, this is unacceptable. There are nicer hotels on the island with much better service. The lack of empathy, rudeness, and refusal to find a fair solution were appalling. We strongly advise against staying here.

We couldn't even reach Villa Pollio Hotel because the island was closed due to a water shortage, a force majeure situation outside our control. Even though we never used the hotel, they refused to return our money, not even a little of it. We're still trying to get it back, and the whole thing has been extremely frustrating. Our calls with Fabio, who manages the hotel, were appalling. He insulted us when we tried to discuss a refund. He also responds to other negative reviews by calling them fake, but these accounts are genuine and describe what happened to us. Fabio's behavior was completely unacceptable. We warn others to avoid Villa Pollio Hotel. Don't let yourself be scammed and insulted like we were. Choose somewhere more reputable.

There's plenty to do in the middle of Anacapri, and transport nearby makes it easy to get to Capri or other parts of the island. The owners were so welcoming and friendly, always ready to help. My room was very clean and nicely decorated, with a good-sized balcony. I absolutely loved staying here and would highly recommend it.

We had a great stay at Villa Pollio in Anacapri. The service was great, and the location put us right in Anacapri city center. Our rooms were perfectly clean and had all the essentials, including towels, shampoo, and air conditioning. 10/10!
