Albergo Ristorante CITTA' DEI PAPI

We left this morning after a three-night stay and promised we wouldn’t return. The staff were rude, patronising, and horrible. We arrived Friday night and didn’t sleep at all. The meal they served looked and tasted like pork, though they insisted it was chicken. There are chefs in our party who said it was pork. On Saturday we came back from a trip to Sorrento to loud music that went on until 12:30 a.m. I called down, got hung up on, and called again to ask when it would stop, since it was keeping us awake on the third floor. Last night’s meal was appalling. Two people in our party don’t eat pork, so we asked for an alternative, and they got tomato and mozzarella. Sausage pasta was served as a starter; only a few people were offered seconds, and we had to ask for cheese. Then came pork in gravy with peas, just peas until the salad arrived near the end. Gravy with salad and dressing? Dessert was two scoops of ice cream, the only nice thing. The room had a loose toilet, a bathroom door that wouldn’t close, and a shower door that wouldn’t close either. It took us half an hour to get into the bedroom, and even then the door didn’t lock when we left. One person in our party returned to find their bedroom door open. Breakfast wasn’t replenished. The eggs were cold despite being in a pan on a hot plate, and the staff were rude when we asked for a cereal bowl. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Go over the hill to Hotel Verdi instead, where it’s worth the money.
