The room was fairly clean, and the cleaning lady was nice. The room itself was cold even with the setting at maximum, and breakfast was just a bowl of dry snacks left in my room. There was also a mosquito. The Wi-Fi barely worked and didn’t reach my bed. I only got two bars standing at the foot of it. My parents booked the place, and I hadn’t noticed that check-in ended at 8pm. If you stay here, make sure you tell them when you’ll arrive. Google predicted I’d get there at midnight, but I hadn’t notified them. After I rang the bell for 30 minutes, the owner called, wouldn’t let me in, and sent me to another hotel where nobody was at the desk after 11pm. I finally found a room elsewhere at 3am, and still had to pay for the night I didn’t stay.

When I asked the owner to wait a little longer, he was extremely rude and hung up on me. He didn’t wait, then lectured me very rudely about needing to read the house rules. I had read them. Anyone working in tourism and hospitality should show at least a little patience and flexibility.

Very good location, and the quality for the price is really good.

Right in the center of Ancona at Piazza Roma, with lots of sights an easy walk away. The welcome was friendly and the room comfortable. I did miss having air conditioning, although there was a ceiling fan, and a refrigerator.

The prices have nearly doubled, and the welcome has gone downhill since the management changed. I used to pay €25 a night with Emanuela and Sergio, if I remember right, and they were always very helpful. Now it’s €40, and the younger man currently there was rude, unwelcoming, and no help at all. I told them when booking that I’d arrive late, and he said it was fine. On the day, he called sounding annoyed and acted as if he were doing me a favor by allowing a late arrival, even though I’d already told them. Then he refused the reservation anyway. I won’t go back.
