La Tana del Nano

The house was very nice and well cared for, and the lady was helpful, but the location was terrible. I stayed for one night with my husband, daughter, and our Gordon Setter, a big dog. Out of respect, we never let him climb onto or up on the beds, and we didn't let him into the bathroom either. He does shed, of course, but we tried to leave the place as clean as we could and swept. Some hair was still left behind. The lady then left a not very nice comment on Airbnb saying everything was fine apart from finding hair everywhere.

The room was quiet and the location was good for getting around on foot. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, too. But for two nights, there was a horrible dog kennel smell coming from under the bed. The mattress, sheets, and cover hadn't dried properly and smelled nauseating, and the sofa bed had the same issue. The owner was very kind and offered to change the sheets, which helped only partly. I hope this was a one-off, since the other reviews don't suggest it's a usual problem. The room works for two, but four people are very cramped, especially with a bathroom that doesn't offer privacy. It's always a shame to leave a poor review, but I hope it's useful for improvement.

The owner was kind and helpful, and the apartment was quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was a peaceful area, about a 15-minute walk from the Navy selection center. The place was nicely furnished and super clean. Excellent stay, I'd book again.

Parking was the only reason I didn't give five stars, though I think that's a general issue in Ancona. The apartment itself is welcoming and clean, and the location is excellent. The woman who manages it is wonderful and ready to help with anything. It also works perfectly for dog owners. I'm very satisfied! 😅
