We spent a lot of time in this beautiful place, and we’ll miss it. The owners and staff are great people. There’s plenty to do nearby on foot, and you can reach central Ancona or the lovely beach at portonovo in under 20 minutes. It’s a wonderful spot for anyone who loves nature, architecture, and peace. The rooms are fine, the outdoor surroundings are beautiful, and it’s clear the owners have put a lot of energy and passion into the place. It has real potential, and it’s already a great place to stay. I do think there’s room to grow into the role a bit more. A few ideas: provide Wi-Fi by the pool, and offer wine, beer, and soft drinks. Since you’re away much of the day, a full fridge with a list and an honest self-service system could work. A washing machine for guests would help, and Miele makes great products. Screens on the room windows and doors would also be useful. Breakfast feels rather basic for the price, so some more care and a higher standard would help, with a wider choice of cheese and cold cuts, eggs, and fresh fruit juice.

We had a comfortable stay, though the accommodation is fairly sparse, and breakfast was adequate. The service was friendly, and the setting in the hills just outside Ancona is beautiful.

The road leading up is a little rough, but we were welcomed warmly. It makes a good base for exploring the area, and we really enjoyed staying here.
