Hotel Ghezzi

A really nice place to stay with the family.

The kids’ club kept our six-year-old busy all afternoon, from 3:30 to 7:15. Radu, Carmela, and Lollo were young, but very committed and motivated. We also appreciated the Christmas Day dinner on the 25th, with Santa bringing presents to the rooms. It was a lovely idea, even though it was on Christmas Day rather than Christmas Eve, as is customary elsewhere. The hotel is on the village’s main street, close to the square, Andalo Life, and the main ski lift. There’s a bus stop right outside and outdoor parking. Half board was good value: a generous breakfast with sweet and savory choices, plus varied dinners made with quality ingredients. The service was attentive and courteous, and Vincenzo deserves a special mention for being so friendly and helpful. Our room was generally too cool, and the furnishings were basic and a bit dated, although the bathroom had been renovated and worked well. Breakfast could use a coffee machine for hot drinks. These were minor drawbacks for us, and we’d gladly return.

The bus stop was close, and we could easily get to everything from the water park and winter park to the riding stables. My daughter had a lovely time, and we’re sure to come back to Hotel Ghezzi. Chanel and I had a great stay. I’d been a bit wary after reading some reviews, but on my first visit I found everyone helpful and courteous. Our room was clean and well looked after, the food was good, and the waiters were friendly and always available. The entertainer was happy to look after the children too. If you leave a review, please be honest about your experience. Bye for now!

The room on the fourth floor was very small and cold, which wasn’t comfortable with our five-month-old. It was kept very clean, though, and the receptionists and waiters were kind. We came back from a three-day stay disappointed by the food. The meat was tough, the pasta had no taste, and the buffet barely changed. The elevator was also much too small. We won’t be coming back.
