The room was in awful shape despite costing €120 a night. The furnishings were dilapidated and there were cobwebs everywhere, so it didn’t feel worth the €100 cash deposit they required. The room also had nothing at all to welcome us, not even water. Since this is a residence, I understand breakfast isn’t included, but I expected to be able to use the kitchen or at least have a coffee machine. Instead, the kitchen was only “allowed” for stays longer than a week. The stay started strangely right after I booked on Booking.com: an email laid out two unusual conditions, a mandatory €100 cash deposit and a strict 9:30 a.m. checkout. Things got worse after we arrived. The next morning, at exactly 9:30, cleaning staff opened our door without knocking while we were still asleep. We asked them to come back later, and they said “ok.” We checked out at 11 and left the room empty, but when we returned, nothing had been cleaned. When we politely raised the unmade room at the front desk, the manager, an older man, responded rudely and verbally attacked us. He said, “What do you think? They just come by, if they see you're busy, they do something else and don't come back for your convenience!” I can’t imagine paying guests should be spoken to that way. I travel a lot for work and pleasure and have never experienced such a squalid place or such dreadful management. One star feels generous, like an award they don’t deserve. There was no hygiene or service, the price was wildly out of line with what they offer, and the staff’s arrogance and rudeness were intolerable. Stay away.

The noise kept going through our stay, even at night, with banging from upstairs at all hours. I doubt it was tourists, because there were no clotheslines on the balconies above us, and I never heard anything during the day. The holiday was the opposite of relaxing. On our second day, someone even rang our doorbell very early in the morning.
It worked as a compromise for us since we only slept there, and the price was a plus. The reserved covered parking costs €10 per day and needs to be booked. It’s about a ten-minute walk to the Andora seafront. The rooms aren’t well soundproofed, the furnishings are very dated and could do with an update, and there’s no air conditioning. A suitable residence if your expectations are modest.
Without air conditioning, it was suffocating. We paid for two weeks upfront on the first day, as that’s how they work. After a while, I understood why they want the whole balance straight away, because people leave early. We gave up and left four days early, and they simply said goodbye without asking why. We didn’t even ask for our money back; by then, we understood what sort of people we were dealing with. The lady at reception answered every request in a rude, annoyed, arrogant, and indifferent tone. The rooms had a 70s feel, and the tiny TV hurt your eyes and neck, so we never turned it on. They could have fixed up the rooms instead of having a pool. I’m sorry, we’re not used to luxury, but they really don’t seem interested in improving or offering more than the bare minimum for living there, let alone feeling like you’re on vacation.
The ceiling fans do make the heat easier to handle, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a great place, though the lack of air conditioning keeps it from being perfect.
