The breakfasts are great and included, though the hotel doesn't serve dinner. The family who runs the place were lovely. The father and son speak English and helped us get our bearings. It’s among fruit orchards, reached by a single-lane road. Local restaurant food is exceptional, but make reservations if you plan to walk to dinner. We were turned away at one place and waited for a table to open up at another.

The garden pool was lovely, and breakfast can be enjoyed outdoors. Our room was spacious, very comfortable, and welcoming in its design. It was tidy and clean, with views over the apple orchards and vineyards.

Everything was great, including the EV charging station. The host family were super friendly, the rooms beautiful and very clean, and the breakfast buffet had pretty much anything you could want :-)

The garden was beautifully kept, with loungers and a chlorine-free pool, and the terrace was a lovely place for the varied, excellent breakfast on a fine day. The owner also puts on a barbecue in the garden on some evenings. There are hiking routes for every ability, and we recommend hiring a bike in Nals. We spent a week at Hotel Sonngart and felt comfortable right through to departure. Our hosts were incredibly friendly, and our double room had Swiss pine furniture and a balcony with a magnificent view of the orchards and mountains. We’d love to come back!
