Buba B&B Superior

We spent plenty of time by the pool and had a memorable stay. Buba sits on a green hill behind the local train station, with the center of Anzio, ferries to Ponza, and nearby attractions all easy to reach. The location, pretty garden, quiet nights, and lovely breakfast were all highlights. Cornelia is a caring, fantastic host. This beautifully renovated 1920s villa has a timeless elegance, and every detail is looked after with grace.

The hosts made the stay feel special. The hostess welcomed us with coffee and told us the villa’s fascinating history. Inside, it’s a lovely home with antique details, and outside there’s a large pool we really enjoyed. We had fun playing table tennis, and the walk to the sea and town took about 7 minutes and was pleasant. Breakfast had lots of delicious choices, and the villa itself has an amazing view and beautiful grounds. I’d happily return again and again. Greetings from Poland ❤️❤️❤️

We had a relaxing week at this charming B&B in Anzio. The owner welcomed us warmly and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and both the rooms and shared spaces were very clean and well cared for. It has a cozy, home-like feel. We found the location handy for exploring the area and getting a taste of local culture, and the owner’s tips for places to eat and visit were spot on. We left feeling rested and grateful, and would love to return.

We chose a room with a balcony and sea view, and spent many evenings there with drinks, looking out over both the water and the city. My wife and I stayed for a week, drawn to the place because we wanted something charming instead of a hotel. It turned out to be our favorite option in Anzio. The house is full of thoughtful touches that make it cozy, like staying with a close friend. Cornelia is kind and interesting, and helped with everything from extra pillows for my pregnant wife to a plumbing problem when we had no hot water. She sometimes made breakfast herself, and it was very good. The beach is about a 15-minute walk away. Sun loungers cost extra, more than in places like Greece or Turkey, though guests of BUBA BnB got additional discounts. There are lots of good restaurants and cafes near the beach. The beaches were clean and lively, with families renting spots for the season and a friendly atmosphere where people knew each other. There were few tourists. Anzio is small and not very touristy, so finding English speakers in restaurants and shops could be difficult, and menus were often only in Italian, but people were generally friendly. The area is quiet, with an authentic Italian feel, good food, and lovely people. We left sure we’d return. Cornelia creates a kind of comfort and energy that beats expensive hotels. Thank you.
