Serpa Hotel Anzio

It's right across the street from the private beach, with access to it. There's plenty of parking in the off season, and the front desk staff were helpful and pleasant. Get a room with a balcony, it's worth it.

After we were robbed in Rome, our vacation had been awful. The woman at the front desk and the gentleman who served our latte and cappuccino made us feel safe and welcome again. She was lovely, and he was amazing and so cordial. Plus, it's right on the water. Where's the bad?

We booked three nights to end our vacation, but gave up after just one. The staff weren't especially friendly, particularly the person at the front desk when we arrived. The hotel was too far from town, the Wi-Fi was bad, the air conditioning wouldn't stay on, there weren't many local restaurants to choose from, the shower only had cold water, and there was no minibar. Don't book here.

The room was nice if you book a sea view, but the breakfast was poor and the staff seemed lazy. It's fine for a one-night stay, though it's too far from Anzio city center.
